The 2019 Caribbean Premier League is going to be won by either Barbados Tridents or Guyana Amazon Warriors, who meet in Saturday night live on Sky Sports Cricket.
Guyana are searching for their first title after finishing as runners-up on four events, while the Tridents will eye their second crown having beaten Guyana in the 2014 showpiece.
All the buildup has below at 9.30pm, with the very first ball place to be routed down at 10pm. Here is all you need to understand ahead of the game…
Who would be the form team?
That would be Guyana, whove won 11 of the matches in the tournament of this year. Shoaib Maliks men went 10 from 10 after beating all their rivals before seeing off Tridents for another period in the qualifier to reach their fifth final.
Finals are not their thing though?
Right! Even the Amazon Warriors have lost all four of their CPL finals to this stage, before falling in 2014 going down, Tallawahs again in 2016 and then Knight Riders one year past.
So why would this time be any different?
An 11-match winning streak has left Guyana around the crest of a wave, even while theyve three batsmen one of the best seven run-scorers, with Malik having managed 313 and Chandrapaul Hemraj 298 along with Brandon King leading the way with 453, having pummelled 132 of these from just 72 chunks against Tridents out time.
Thats some going!
Yep, 11 sixes and 10 fours from the cover of the sequence as the 24-year-old blazed the highest score ever seen in the CPL. The Jamaican cracked four borders in a row off Jason Holder early in his knock and three in a row off Shakib Al Hasan towards the end of it. King T20 ton followed in the competition, including 51 from Tridents.
How do Barbados prevent King?
They may have learnt while in American and Holder leg-spinner Hayden Walsh Jr the Tridents have two of the few wicket-takers not to bowl after his two blitzkriegs to him. Walsh Jr (21) and Holder (15) sandwiching veteran Guyana tweaker Imran Tahir (16).
Who else shall we keep a watch out for?
Guyanas Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer prefer to offer it a wallop, however have been quiet so much with 3 fifties between them. Maybe they will be inspired by the grand point? Seamer Romario Shepherd also has claimed 12 wickets this year, with eight coming across the three matches against Tridents. Spinner Chris Green has chipped in with 13 scalps.
Barbados most successful batsman was Johnson Charles (376) followed by JP Duminy (291), who suffered a hamstring complaint in Thursdays triumph over Trinbago Knight Riders which shot Tridents in their first final since 2015.
Any interest?
On Barbados side, yes. Although fellow Nottinghamshire guy Harry Gurney has claimed 11 wickets alex Hales has neglected to pass in 11 innings however has threatened a dent on occasion.
